Are you ready for this family??? No doubt one of the wackiest and entertaining clans that we've had the pleasure of spending a few hours with. Ali & Drew are a perfect blend of quirky and cute while Kerri & Aaron are their own perfect blend of romantic and comical. This family is a good example why we offer longer family sessions... You never know what you're gonna get (like a box of chocolates). We love to capture candid moments and the intimate details that make each family special and unique, which takes time and the ability to create situations for families to be themselves in front of the camera. "Look at the camera and smile" photos take a backseat during our family sessions because we spend most of the time playing, laughing and enjoying the moment with our clients and friends. So here come the crazies... 

We started at Angel Falls Coffee Shop on Market Street for some urban vibes. Love their fashion style...

Jennifer & Chris || Engagement Photography || Stow, Ohio

This will be our longest intro yet, but we feel it's time to share a little about our photography style so you can get to know us more. With that said, Jennifer & Chris's engagement session had the full spectrum of cloudy weather. We had dull grey overcast, deep blue skies, full bright sunshine and finally an incredible sunset. The rapid and ever-changing variety of Ohio's weather never ceases to challenge us as photographers which is one reason we love it! 

This session is also a perfect example of our photography philosophy (more like our motto)... Your photos should be: Natural. Real. You. We always strive to produce images that capture the look and feeling of the exact moment we take them. The environment surrounding the subject is a large part of the image too, so we never try to artificially mold our images into something that didn't exist. We want our pictures to look how it looked. No filters. No artificial colors. If there's sun, we capture bright sunny images. If it's raining, we'll get wet and capture the dark moodiness of that moment. And sometimes you get both of those in one day... it's the midwest. Your pictures should always remind you of that day, that time and that feeling of being together during one of the most emotionally exciting times of your life. 

And now onto Jennifer & Chris and the feeling of their images... all we can say is that their love for each other was so visible, even from the first time we met them over coffee to discuss their wedding day. They were so natural and real (Remember... Natural. Real. You.) with each other because they forgot about the cameras and just enjoyed the time being together, which is what we always encourage our couples to do. We create a setting where you can focus on each other, not us telling you who to be or who to look like. This is your time. This is your moment. Enjoy it and enjoy each other. We're just there to capture your love and create images that are romantic, beautiful and a reflection of you. 

So without further ado, here's a session we're really proud of...

The blue sky jumped out for about 5 minutes then faded to grey again...

We drove to a new location for the last 20 minutes of our session so we could have a better view for the sunset, which thankfully was perfect that night. We enjoyed watching the colors changed so quickly as the clouds moved and the sun fell further toward the horizon. Love these images...
