Anna & Nathan's wedding day overflowed with love, laughter, glow sticks and all around good times. We were smiling from start to finish just because we were there in the midst of it all. We have an unofficial slogan we live by: Goofy is Good. And for photography, nothing beats an adorable couple who knows how to laugh and fill their wedding with fun. So that's what we have to share with you today… 

Laughter during the first few minutes of the ceremony is always a good sign that the day is going to be a fun one… 

So cute! We couldn't decide which exit photo we liked best, so you get to see three…

HA! You guys were so much fun.

A few photos in downtown Hudson and then we headed to the National Forest in Peninsula.

The afternoon was classic Ohio overcast fall weather, but we just missed all the rain that hit 5 minutes after we finished shooting so we were thrilled. And we still had enough color on the trees to create some beautiful fall portraits… 

And the laughter (and general adorableness) continues… 

Love this! Such a perfect moment to capture your personalities… 

And this one too… 

We always love a great black&white photo.

And then it was PARTY TIME!

Love definitely is sweet. 

OK, so this was just super awesome! All of a sudden after dinner the reception became a glow stick party, which was a great way to add some color and fun to the dance floor… 

And if glow sticks weren't cool enough, they brought out the JUMP ROPE to show off their double dutch skills! There's a first for everything at wedding receptions and this was definitely a first for us.

This moment needs no explanation… if there is one.

Anna & Nathan, Thank you so much for giving us the great pleasure of spending your wedding day with you. We can't say enough times how enjoyable you two were to work with and how much fun we had during your day. The only advice we can share with you is to keep smiling, stay goofy and never let the laughter leave your relationship. You are off to a good start! It was an honor to capture your love for each other and create something for you that we hope you'll cherish for years to come. Enjoy the early photos. Tons more coming your way soon!

Katie & Andy || Engagement Photography || Akron, OH

Katie & Andy were our first engagement session this fall season and they also might be the undisputed winners of the 'most-colorful session' award. We had just enough light rain to justify the umbrellas for a few minutes but the rest of the session was rain-free and gorgeous. We spent the afternoon in Akron, at one of our favorite fall locations and we definitely were not disappointed by the colors. So if you're missing the leaves already then here's a boost for you today… 

We were glad to actually have a reason to use the umbrellas for a bit. This is so cute!

Can't beat a beautiful fall day in Ohio. Love this one.

We kept searching for a backdrop with a variety of color and this one easily filled the order… 

A few ring photos during a quick outfit change and then we were back to making the magic… 

And then we headed back into the forest. Overcast weather gives such a deep richness to the colors… 

HA! Love this one. You guys were so fun.

Katie & Andy, Thank you for giving us the chance to explore with you, chase the light and create something amazing. We're so glad it worked out with our schedules when it did. The timing couldn't have been more perfect for the colors. You two were so easy to work with and you were totally sweet and romantic with each other in a way that is impossible to force out of couples, so thanks for naturally being that way! :o) We hope you love these early photos. Tons more coming to you soon. Can't wait for the wedding next summer!
