Such a neat little spot to get dressed…
Who needs Converse when you can go with Vans "OFF THE WALL".
Alexa & Kelcey had these huge balloons at the back of the church which made a perfect backdrop to their incredibly sweet first look.
Love all these moments.
We then headed to Firestone Country Club for all the portraits prior to the ceremony. We'll just say here that it was SO cold all afternoon, even though you can't really tell by their smiles. Every person in this bridal party was a trooper and did everything we asked without question while managing to laugh and have a good time together. So props to you guys!
The guy on the right made the decision to choose this one easy. :o)
Hey, you in the socks. You know who you are. (Those will show up again on the dance floor.)
We always prefer to shoot our portraits outdoors even in less than perfect weather, but I gotta tell ya, this particular day made us want to curl up by a fire and question our sanity. It was cold. No, wait. Downright freezing. Add a little wind to the mix and that's what we had to work with. But without hesitation, Alexa & Kelcey jumped on the golf cart and drove us out to a few locations they had chosen. We love when couples are courageous with us!
There was a single bright orange tree in the middle of the golf course so we headed straight to it and used it for all it was worth. We are so happy with how these portraits turned out.
These are so beautiful, Alexa! Thanks for giving us a few minutes to experiment. We're so happy with all of them. ;o)
The crazy wind added some extra fun to these veil shots but we eventually got exactly what we wanted… and then we removed her veil for the rest of the portraits to make life easier. Just makin' lemonade with lemons, people. That's what we do somedays. And our lemonade is always sweet with extra sugar.
We were about to leave for the church and then we saw this tree. Hold the wagon train! We asked for 5 more minutes and requested that Alexa take her coat off for a few. So after a few minutes warming up inside, they ran out with us again (without hesitation!) and helped us create these stunning photos that we LOVE LOVE LOVE. Thank you for trusting us and letting us do the job we were hired for. :o)
These next few are some of our favorites of the day. Love the background. Love the soft light. Love the happiness and smiles!
And then it was time to thaw a little bit before the ceremony. We'll start the show with what is possibly the most adorable flower girl photo of all time. What a doll!
Walking down the aisle is always a moment that is over so quickly and we're excited when we get to capture it for couples so they can sit back and relive it over again in slow motion.
Such a beautiful aisle…
And you're MARRIED!
Oh, Black&White, how I love you for these moments.
The dress. The shoes. The carpet. It just worked. This is a 'candid' by the way.
Can't get enough of these first dance photos. So incredibly romantic.
Possibly the favorite of the entire day. Photo credit to Christy.
Remember those…
Such a fun bridal party. These people were WILD!
Signature Eric&Christy dance shots. Alexa's hair in this one looks great in B&W.
And us doing what we do…
We have the luxury of some extra warmth to keep the creative juices flowing.
In the middle of the madness!
Alexa & Kelcey, we love you guys! You honestly couldn't have been more kind or easy-going throughout the day and we appreciate it so much. We are so excited about the portraits we created with you and just have to say THANK YOU once again for braving the weather with us and allowing us the freedom and time to make something special for you. We really enjoyed your day and we hope you love living it over again in the warm comfort of your home together. :o)
