Gretchen & Michael || Conrad Botzum Farm || Ohio Wedding Photography

Gretchen & Michael… so fun, so enjoyable and so stinkin' cute together. We had so much fun with them during their engagement session (check it out here if you missed it) and have been counting down the days until their wedding so we could work with them again. Plus, their wedding was at The Conrad Botzum Farm, which was absolutely gorgeous and quickly became one of our favorite new venues. So without further ramblings, here they are...

Meanwhile in the groom's room...

The ring bearer took his responsibilities very seriously.

Such a precious moment. One of our favorites from the day.

We always love the time right after the ceremony when the bride and groom share a few moments together before the crowd overtakes them.

This one definitely won for 'most random' fun shot.

Like we said, gorgeous location...

Plus, it never hurts to have a stunning bride in a beautiful lace dress...

A little bustlin' and then it was time for toasts and dinner.

Ummm, yes. It tasted as good as it looked.

We couldn't stop ourselves from taking them back out for a few more portraits.

Another favorite. What am I saying?!? They're ALL favorites!

Hands always say so much about a couple. Gold star to Gretchen & Michael for 'posing' themselves for this one. No direction needed from us. :o)

Once the sun finally set and the dance lights came on, it was time to PARTY!

My favorite photo-bomb picture ever.

By the way, Gretchen and the bridesmaids wore pink Converse sneakers for the reception.

This is where I usually talk about the subtle art of available light photography and how we love the challenge of capturing moments like this in all their beautiful, low-light glory without relying on a harsh flash to obliterate the darkness, but I'll spare you the soapbox this time. Just know that this was not an easy photo to create. It took patience, timing, and a familiarity with light that can only be found in the darkness. (Now that's deep.)

And a few of us enjoying the day...

Gretchen's dad was a character and kept everyone laughing during the family portraits.

And this is how you take a really low angle shot without laying in the mud. I have named this yoga move 'the boulder'.

1-2-3 photo.

Gretchen & Michael, you guys were so fantastic to work with again. We loved your ability to laugh with each other and be yourselves throughout the day. We were honored to spend your wedding day with you and we hope you will always enjoy looking back at the moments we captured for you. Best wishes!

Like always, please comment, share and pin the photos you love!
