Julie & Matthew || Ohio Wedding Photography || Sandusky, OH

Julie & Matthew's day was filled with so much love and sweetness, along with enough scattered rain drops to keep us guessing all afternoon. We made it through the outdoor ceremony overlooking the harbor and the clouds eventually opened up just enough for us to capture some of our favorite sunset portraits ever. But let's not get ahead of ourselves just yet…

Julie's dad wrote her a song for the wedding day, so yeah, awesome ring shot if I do say so…

Just a few pre-ceremony portraits at the Sawmill Creek Resort…

We're submitting this as the definition of 'dapper'…

Julie and her father walked across the lawn from the building in the background. They were all smiles and giggles the whole time. :o)

Just a few raindrops during the ceremony but never enough to scare us back inside. And check out that great view of Cedar Point across the bay.

See that seagull on top of the pole? He enjoyed the show from up there the entire ceremony.

Such a great skyline and backdrop for portraits.

See that cute redhead on the right? That's our sister-in-law, friend and fun fact finder, Kim. Hi Kim! It was fun to photograph her in one of our weddings.

Such a fun group! We're thankful (and surprised) no one fell into the bay during the wild group photos.

That blue ride on the right is the new GateKeeper. It breaks seven world records… just FYI.

One of our favorite portraits. You look beautiful, Julie!

We loved how the colors of the boats blurred into a great background.

We then headed inside for some dinner, cake and a few dances.

Credit goes to Christy for this great perspective of the first-dance.

The overcast skies finally cleared right before sunset so we ran outside for a few more portraits. We LOVE the colors of this one and how the sky and water just glowed with deep shades of blue.

Such a sweet portrait. We love the reflections and lines in the water too.

And there's one of our favorite sunset photos… ever! And yes, it was that beautiful. I didn't click a magic 'nice sunset' button to make the photo something it wasn't.

And then back to the PARTY!

And a few of us…

Like I said, the sunset was amazing. Every minute the light looked a little different.

Oh hey again, Kim! And that's Christy's brother (just in case you couldn't tell).

Julie & Matthew, thanks for letting us spend the day with you. We're so happy for you and so glad that the weather worked out in our favor so we could capture so many beautiful outdoor photos for you. We hope you enjoy them! Tons more coming your way soon.
